Has anybody ever put a trick car finish on a blued gun?

I’ve used carnuba wax (I think McGuires paste, iirc) before I bought a bottle of Eezox. Provided a pretty good layer of protection, I felt. I bought the Eezox to remove surface rust from my reloading press without realizing it wasn’t a rust remover. Sad face. I also like Johnston’s furniture wax for anti-corrosion protection.
