I've taken to wearing my Covert (and sometimes my PF Specialist) in this manner quite a bit, especially in the mornings heading to the gym. It allows me to wear the Clinch Pick in it's normal spot which I really like. Alternately I wear the belt just under the top of the waistband of my running shorts, with the shorts helping to stabilize my holster but still allowing quick access or concealment of the CP.

My multipurpose pouch is currently missing and last week I used an old Smartcarry in place of the Covert/MP pouch which made me want an updated Smartcarry made from the same material as the Covert and with a better designed, re-moveable, modular system with a few sizes of soft pouches. Cough, cough @Mack...

Also what about when you draw the gun?
I use one for my house carry with a g19. No issues or movement for me and it's pretty comfortable. I also dry fire with it and the belt does stay in place

Strong metal clips that not only hold but hold so tight that they tear the clothes have been an option. Draw strings that can't support the weight of anything worth carrying. New devices that accommodate special holster shells that are fairly expensive and inventory-challenged have been promoted as "The Game Changer" in belt-free carry, though it still wraps around you... like a belt.

I had sort of forgotten about the Specialist Covert. It's a belt. I had carried "beltless with a belt" with other regular gun belts over gym shorts but under cover garments before. It worked ok but there was a good amount of movement with the belt. The Covert is different. It has a rubbery grippy texture that holds and sticks when you get it set where you want it. The hook and loop is a combo setup with both hook and loop mixed together making it more versatile than the hook and loop system of regular belts. It's light, flexible, and almost forgettable when wearing it. At about $30 it's worth every penny. If my cover is long enough to hide the bottom of my holster, I wear the belt over my gym shorts. If not, I wear the gym shorts over the belt. I always wear a t-shirt or beater between my skin and the belt.

Another issue I had was putting phone, keys, and wallet in pockets. I was always concerned that something would fall out of my pocket while on a long walk and I wouldn't notice. The Mastermind Multi-Purpose Pouch is designed to be worn IWB but I use them OWB. I put my phone (Samsung Note 10 Plus in an Otterbox Commuter) in one pouch at 9 o'clock. It's a tight fit but doable. My wallet and keys go in a 2nd pouch at 3 o'clock.

This setup may not be what everyone is looking for, but for $30 plus the cost of the pouches ($16 each), I can use any gun in any holster that I already own. I'm pretty tired of the over-used term "game changer" but this comes pretty close for me.

Thanks for the support and for taking time to share your experience with the Covert, we appreciate it very much and are happy to hear that it is working for your needs.

For those unfamiliar with the Specialist Covert, it was designed after years of requests from our professional customers and equally as many reports of the Specialist being used under the pants with another belt being worn in a traditional manner through the belt loops. More info is available on our site in the product description as well as on our Resources page about the design and the materials.

We have been getting a lot of feedback since the release of the Covert and find it is being used extensively as a carry method in PT gear/gym attire, yoga pants, sweats, basketball shorts, and even flannel lounge/PJ type pants. In addition, we know of a wide range of gear being carried on with from small single stacks and revolvers all the way up to full size pistols with mag carriers/ TQ carriers, and even fixed blades.

The use of the Covert has certainly expanded beyond its initial role, and we are happy that it is allowing people some flexibility in their wardrobe and can allow for people to carry more.

We are always open to input and feedback but currently we have some projects in the works before any additional “Covert” style belts or carriers can be considered. We hope to have an extremely low pro ankle rig for med gear and the like out sometime in the near future which may pair well with the Covert.

A few pics for those that are unfamiliar with the what the Covert looks like and how it can be worn.

So after months of trying to get my hands on an Enigma, the day after I finally find it in stock and place my order I stumble across this that I could have tried for 1/3 the price :/
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I don't want / have an Enigma so I can't say what the trade-offs are. But this belt was my answer. If I were you, I'd get the belt and try it. Keep the one you prefer, sell the other.

Maybe I missed it but are you wearing it over bare skin or an undershirt? Does it move around?

Well, crap. Another thing I clearly need to buy. It's only money, I guess.

It works either way for me. Does not move around.

    I can pee outside.
So a question to all who are using the covert:

I'm looking at the possibilities of this setup, and it appears that it would work...but looking for your input.

Come fall, there are many times when I am working in bib overalls [carhartt]. On these days, I leave the 1911 at home and pocket carry the 642, because there's no way to hide a Commander in the pockets.

Do you feel this setup would be feasible under a bib overall? Really not interested in the expense of the enigma setup, but this is within budget for the time it'll be used.

    Chris~
