How do you remove VC-3? Anything other than MEK?

I see on the website MEK listed as a solvent. My local hardware store doesn't carry it and I can't find it online in small quantities.

Is there an alternative method or means?

Real MEK is just about unobtainium anymore... I had some success with plain old acetone and VC-3. I suspect MEK would work better.

A lighter works pretty well, if there's nothing that can be damaged around it.

    Smells good too.

One of the best ways to free up a fastener is to use a soldering iron on the head of the fastener itself.
