Yes, I believe it is a P225. I cannot recall where I learned the VBSS sailors in the Canadian Navy had SIGs, but they do.
My assumption is their rattle trap P35s, likely second hand downers from the Army, had worn to the point of being dangerous. Someone decided a small procurement of TDA 9mms made sense. Buy a gun that actually fits 99% of the users versus the M9/92s or even Glocks.
The music is far worse than the shooting.
