I really liked that film. The contrast between the increasingly ugly reality of the situation and the elaborately constructed and stylized fantasy world really struck me. This is the Snyder we need more of.
This is a promo clip about the 3 months of physical and weapons training they went through. Pretty badass.

This is mesmerizing.
The production values look and sound like they spent Marvel money on a 5 minute video. The song and vocalizing itself sounds like the evocation of some ancient magic spell.
Overall the effect is stunning.
Headphones are a must.
A solemn little girl is playing alone in a forest.
We flip back and forth between 3 different timelines of her life.
In Norway a group of shamans are ritually summoning up their power and sending it into her laboring mother at her birth to create a more powerful shaman. The ritual is eerily beautiful, sinister and strangely compelling
She is the little girl in the forest, awakening and exploring her abilities.
She is a grown woman taking the dangerous step to the next level of power.
Clearly this struck sparks in my imagination.
