Maybe because I was a pre-teen when this came out but I think it is awesome! Of course I don't want to drive it.
I do have to admit that I have 1971 Baja Bug now that I bought because I really wanted one in high school in the 1980s.
I did not exist when this one was made.
I still kind of want it. Or I would if I didn't know it was rotten to the core. Looking at the rust in the tailgate and rear fenders tells me this one is beyond saving.
