    What online NFA trust attorney?

I’m ready to set up my trust. Who is recommended, and what has your experience been?

I need to be sure the trust is correct for both here in NH and also for any other state I might move to - specifically TX.

    Thanks!
    Ken

Jim Willi is popular in TX. You'd have to ask him about any particularities of NH law and whether he is qualified to speak to them.

His website makes reference to service for TX residents, but I’ll reach out. Thanks!

If this is only for NFA items I would not bother with an attorney. I would just use the Silencer Shop trust.

They have a law firm on speed dial for any issues the staff can't handle.

I would have to see if they handle stand alone trusts - I’m not expecting to be buying a suppressor at first.

It appears you can buy just a trust from them. I’m guessing a traditional trust is the one I want?

You can just buy one from them. I did that to get some SBRs going before I got into the silencer game. There is nothing magic in the trust - pretty basic. Not legal advice, but I recommend just saving money and using their easy button.

Traditional is what you want unless you are doing a separate trust for each item. I don’t see the point of that unless you plan to transfer them later or do some complicated estate planning.

The trust is good for any NFA item purchased from any lawful source.

Has anyone tried National Gun Trusts? They were responsive to a question I had, and they are inexpensive. I don’t want to cheap out, but if they provide a good product for the price…

That said, I’m thinking Silencer Shop’s trust may be a better bet.

… and when this is done, I’m going to try to create a “NFA creation for dummies” thread. I’ve been trying to pull information from multiple threads, and many got lost in the weeds.

One thing I’m having a hard time pinning down are how changes to the trust are made - state of residence, adding trustees, things like that. Creation is just the first step.
