Major Winters private collection on display at the Gettysburg Museum of History:

We stumbled into this museum on my trip to Gettysburg. First off, its the bottom floor of what used to be a house and its really not very big. I want to say we were walking to a restaurant and I decided to see what was going on in here. As soon as you go inside, its filled floor-to-ceiling with incredible items, new and old. The firearms on display were impressive. Again, its a small space but chock full of good stuff.

It was free to look through, at least back in 2019. I think we bought some Civil War bullets and nick nacks to support the cause, plus some donation cash.

I highly recommend checking this place out.

There were so many museums and things to see in Gettysburg that you probably need a full week to hit them all. I am hoping to head back there in October depending on what the COVID posture looks like.
