I couldn't stand the scrutiny or publicity...and there would be a lot of heat going in various directions. I think I'd rather pick and choose the stories I tell. Less heartburn that way.

I thought it was Bob Odenkirk too! So that's you, Blues?

Just saw this. Would love a thread in CC if necessary.

I think one of the benefits of a book would be that it's entirely your choice. Tell whatever stories you want, with whatever names changed that you want, with as much or as little context as you want. Send the heat where ever you want, perhaps without clarity to exactly who it goes too. You could probably do it with a pen name, and publish through Amazon as an E book if you want.

It's no doubt an undertaking, and perhaps it's not something you're really interested in. I just know that you have a unique experience of an era of police work / UC / 80s Florida that has many many lessons that are being quickly forgotten. I'm sure there are also many stories and tales that are better off being remembered.

I pay a couple of bucks and spend a couple of evenings with a beverage to read those tales.

Honestly don't think it's on the horizon. I enjoy writing, but I think I enjoy just spinning a tale among friends even more.

    I won't say never...but I'm pretty sure that's the actual answer.
