    G42 OWB ideas

I’m continuing the quest for the perfect low-profile OWB for a G42 on a 33” waist. Preferred position is just behind the hip.

I have an older Raven Phantom purchased from a member here. It’s ok, but it feels like a big lumpy slab of Kydex for such a small pistol.

I bought a Rosen Upper Limit Express because I thought I wanted a high-ride for concealment. I like how smoothly it wraps and I’m impressed by the retention, but it’s a straight drop, and behind my hip that makes for an awkward draw. Some cant makes the draw from there easier.

So I’m thinking about the Rosen 5JR Express

    Or the similar Hume 721OT

Any preference between the two? Or others I should be looking at? Some of the options mentioned in the recent “Skinny guy” thread (Perun, Total Eclipse) are not available for the G42.

    Thanks!

Disclaimer. I have never carried a G42 on the OWB position.
But, I carried a G19 a lot in a Jim Ryan horsehide that is similar to the Rosen 5JR.
Close to the body and comfortable.

I think the Rosen is what you are looking for.

Since I'm left handed, I had a hard time finding a good OWB LH. The one I had was rather flimsy. Thus, a p-f-er recommended https://www.jmcustomkydex.com/p/Road-Dog-Holster.html.

I had to wait for it but it came and I really like it. I bought an OWB for BUG matches. I also have worn it out lately when I had a touch of evil back problems for the big ol' Glock. Age, you know. A 33 inch waist was a long time ago.

Had a Blade Tech two mag kydex pouch on the other side.

It fits snugly and holds the gun securely.
