38 Super has all but been forgotten but it shouldn't have been. I never could figure out why people clamor for a 1911 chambered for 9x19. Ammo costs probably but the Super is a far superior cartridge just like 10mm makes 45 ACP look tame in comparison.
I just sold two 1911's and still have a few. Both 45 ACP because I like the cartridge. If I were to ever buy another 1911 it would be a 38 Super. I had a Colt ELCEN years ago and like a fool I sold it. I had no idea what I had.
In the P-F basket of deplorables.
Calling JAD and his unabashed love for the 38 Super in a 1911 platform!!!

Good video. I really enjoy that series overall. For those saying that the info presented in the video is outdated and directed to old timers, I don't agree really. There are a lot of new gun owners and most gun channel youtubers are putting out basic information videos again. It all seems like common knowledge to us, but there is a ton of newbies out there these days. As for the point that Massad brought up about having your handgun taken away and the scumbag not being able to figure out how to use it to kill you, I think is a great point and not outdated. There was a recent incident that I know of where an officer carrying a Beretta 92 had it taken away and the guy could not figure out how to take it off safe to shoot the officer.
Is the 1911 for everyone? Nope. It is not my primary choice, but I fully respect the weapon.
The 1911 might be one of the safest AIWB guns. Especially the series 80.
