    Cool

And I thought I was an outlier for spending some time and resources on .357 SIG this year.....

    Best, Jon

The only reason I’d even bother with 38 Super is it’s the correct length to function properly in 1911s. It’s reasonably common, and at least some smaller ammo companies like Wilson load defensive ammo with modern Bullet designs. Power level is similar to +P 9mm which is fine.
I like 9x23, but I don’t like losing the brass.

I'm really not comfortable going for a private dance in the upstairs "VIP lounge".
Can we just do this here on the main floor?

This just feels wrong on so many levels, @GJM, please show me your Heinie.

Glocks were a bit of a disappointment in the impact weapon department..

    So yeah, that's why.

While I would certainly prefer to keep my gun holstered these days if in another physical altercation, often things simply don't go as you want them to and you have to make do with the cards you are dealt. If that means picking up a rock and smacking someone with it, fine. If that means using my old 3# Colt as a club to bash someone, well, if it lets me win, then that works too.

Heavy old metal guns have been used for that purpose for a very long time.
I got attacked by a stray dog in my garage once. Rather than blasting away around my wife’s car, water heater (well stuff you don’t want to shoot) I utilized a 1911 as an impact weapon to drive the dog away from me and out of the garage.

The 1911 was handy impact weapon that day.
