@CSW: here’s a tip on teaching yourself to locate the dot that I’ve found useful-
With a two hand hold(or as your hands meet in the presentation) angle the muzzle slightly upward-not “fly fishing”. As the muzzle comes into your peripheral vision, push it down and look through the glass. The dot should appear at 12:00 and move into position. I found beginning slowly with dry fire that it worked for me.

Beretta has a heavy rod also but the one I got looked like it had been machined w/ a chain saw. If I didn't have an old lathe to chuck it into to smooth it out I would have returned it.

Yes! That's exactly what I did on my 92X while awaiting the LTT RDO option back in 2020. I used a Wilson model 634FOR front.

.140 by .125 was the Wilson.

I don't understand how it worked for you. The page for the product at WC site tells that a taller .290" rear sight is required to keep the original point of impact with the .140" front sight. Does 92X have taller sights than M9A3?

Good question. Picking up a stock 92X full size later today and I'll caliper it.

I use this Dawson on the vertec slide I installed on my M9A1.

I had tried a .180 tall which was too tall.

Well...the front sight of my 92x compact is .140" in height. Not sure how tall the rear is, but the gun shoots low...more of a "drive the dot" sight picture, which I dislike.
