    Got my 509T X2 today. The original 509T had so much distortion that is relegated to a backup gun now.

    This 509T X2 lens distortion is minimal, if any. No longer a distraction. Dot has to be pretty far outside the window before image distortion starts to appear.

    Really looking forward to using it -- which I couldn't say about the original. It is mounted on a C&H MOS plate.

    They sure are proud of these — for $100 or so the P2 is an obvious choice, if they start showing up.

    So regardless of the potential 509x2 improvements you believe the P2 will be the way to go?

    I think it will still come down to what features one prefers...

    P2: Made in "Not China" and the expectation (possibly true) that it will be more durable.

    509T: 3 different reticle options, solar power, shake-awake.
