Adding to CDFIII's post on the Dawson Staccato mounting plate version 2...

I decided to upgrade to the new plate (on the left)...

    old thickness:

    new thickness:

    old mounting screw:

    new mounting screw:

Test fitted the new screw to see if it would contact the extractor. It went all the way in without contact:

Adjusting the new rear sight is very easy. Just loosen the set screws about 4 threads, position it to where it co-witnesses with the dot and front sight, then tighten the screws...

The new screws have witness divots, making them easier to mark...

My only disappointment was that one of the new mounting screws was defective. Used an old one to secure the mount for the time being.

Hardly any difference in zero. Adjusted 6 clicks up for elevation and done!

500 rounds in, no issues so far and it is mounted with the updated Dawson plate.

that pistol cost more than my first car. Do you carry collision liability and comprehensive on it?

Come on, @GJM. If a Glock or USP 45 cost $5000, wouldn't you buy it anyway? I'd pay that for a ProGrade P-07 if necessary.

    I am just teasing Karma.

I compete with a 2011 Open gun now, and so the Staccato makes sense. However, I shoot a 19 with a comp better than my Staccato P, and the Glock is so much easier for me to have, accessorize, and maintain, that a bag full of 19/45 Glocks makes sense for me and my life.

That really depends on what tires and mods you have on your Rubicon.
