    Garand Actions in Haiti

Just what I thought was an interesting photo coming out of Haiti.

Note the stainless Ruger in the foreground and the M14 behind. It looks like the M14 is missing its front sight.

How long until the media calls them "Elite Commandos"?

A mercenary unit on a blown op in SOUTHCOM AOR... of course there are going to be stainless Mini-14's...

Cue that classic 80's track... Not sure what the culturally relevant port for the van would be in the local operating environment....

At least the fellow in the foreground has his finger off the trigger. He may even have the safety on.

I see not much has changed in Haiti since I was there in 1998.
I was into 10mm Auto before it sold out and went mainstream, but these days I'm here for the revolver and epidemiology information.

By the way they are armed, with a Ruger Mini and an M1A, their boss has to be a boomer that still reads Guns and Ammo

Kinda surprised that isn't a Browning Hi Power on the one dudes hip.

Couldn't make out that pistol. I think it may be a Taurus but I'm not sure.

If that holster is as crappy as I suspect, it'll likely soon be in the middle of the street for anyone to inspect.

Haiti is pretty much the definition of a poor country and those guys are probably using whatever gets donated through various aid programs
