On a whim, I got up yesterday and decided to drive from Tulsa to Waco to visit the Texas Ranger Museum. Got into the car and drove 374 miles.I will say, if you are ever in Texas and have a few hours to kill, it is worth your while to visit. I spent about 3 hours there. A nice array of firearms used by the Rangers and a very thorough coverage of their existence from the beginning to now. There is a 45 minute movie that ties everything together.

Its a Remington model 8 or 81 police rifle with a police officers equipment extended magazine.
When my son-in-law was at Ft. Hood, I was able to visit the museum a couple times. One of these days I’ll go back.
