I think the epoxy in my front sight fell out

    Or whatever is used.

Can I just degrease and put clear epoxy in?

Clear epoxy will sometimes yellow with age.

I thought about that. I always thought it was due to uv rays. If not then I'll have a nice yellow glowing dot in a few years which I'm ok with

I did Rustoleum on a toothpick when my LCR9 insert fell out if that’s kind of what you were talking about.

EDIT: the answer is probably “no,” but you’re not talking about a fiber optic rod / dot? Because if so, you can buy replacement rods for very cheap.

When that happens to me, I degrease, let air dry, and apply some fluorescent orange nail polish. My eyes pick up orange very well, nail polish is inexpensive and easily removable, and I have a bottle of fluorescent orange nail polish. I tried other colors as well, including some hot pink and bright red, but the orange works for the best for me. My wife and daughter got some laughs watching me apply nail polish, especially as I worked out how not to get it everywhere but where I wanted it.
