Airsoft trainer

So I recently got into the dot life (Glock 17, cphws v4 plate, holosun 407c v2, Dawson black suppressor height sights). I wanted a dry fire trainer and was originally thinking of picking up a sirt pistol but was never a huge fan. I found a WE tech Glock 17 gen 5 mos which is a pretty good replica in the box it comes with 4 mos plates that match the actual Glock ones, 2 backstraps, and two sets of sights standard and suppressor height (the suppressor height are a 3 dot fiber optic type that I blacked out) I just picked up an eBay rmr clone that works pretty well. An issue is the slide is slightly too wide to fit into most of my holsters (a common issue with airsoft I’m told) and the trigger is a little lighter than I would like but otherwise not bad. I’m into this for under 200 total and i can shoot this is my garage.

Aside from lightness, does the trigger “feel” somewhat like a real one?

I think that's the same brand as the airsoft gen 4 G19s that I got a while back. That's awesome that they make an MOS version now. If I remember correctly, they'll fit a G21 holster.

Nice. I’ve never shot a gas gun, but have heard the cycle is gentle enough to not batter an optic.

The gun came from kyairsoft it’s an overseas company so it takes a bit to get here I think mine was here in about 2 weeks

There is I guess some possible import issues that some people have run into since the gun is unlicensed.

Another option is to order one of these https://www.evike.com/products/15736/
which is based on the polymer80 frame but it’s designed in conjunction with WE tech and evike is US based. If you order magazines it needs to be for the MOS/optics ready version as the nozzle or something is specific to the MOS/ optic ready version.

The recoil is obviously not horrible but it does let you track the dot through the “recoil” which is nice. I have heard it’s not particularly good to run the gun with gas and no BB’s as the gun needs the back pressure they provide.
