My older LCP has proven to be reliable. I improved it with a heavier Galloway recoil spring. Buffalo higher pressure ammo works nicely in the little pistol. No matter how I look at the issue, I still have a 380 with all its limitations. I fear that if I shot somebody with it, this person might cut my throat, shoot me, or beat hell out of me. The fact that he might die later does not improve my chance of survival. For me carrying a J frame in an iwb holster is more convenient than carrying the LCP in my pocket. Accessing the J frame carried this way is easier than fumbling with the LCP in my pocket. I like pistols big and small. Sometimes old habits over rule logic when we justify the 380 and 32 automatics which I also like.

You can either assess risk and roll the dice in a realistic way, or you can always plan for worst case. It’s a balance. I personally feel 6+1 and a reload is acceptable for around town, but move up to at least 9+1 and two 10 round magazines when I’m out in the woods taking pictures and might have to deal with the one tooth posse.

If you have an LCP2 also, please try swapping the top ends. Curious about that.

If you have a G42, I am curious about how the recoil compares.

I wouldn't mind this pistol in .32 ACP. This is a smart move for Ruger, they'll sell a bunch.

I want to get one of these but am not sure what holster options are out there. I was thinking something like a raven vanguard that I can optionally put a dcc clip on or carry using Paracord attached inside a pocket or to my belt would work. What are people using? Also, what's a reasonable price for one of these?
