What holster are you using? I've found this pistol to be a bit too chunky width-wise for me. Then again, the holster I have could be improved upon. I may try to design my own holster for it...

My intent was to consider 1911s as belonging to the "external safety" category. I was originally going to name the category "1911s", but since we have some striker-fired pistols with external safeties I thought I'd roll them in since they are both similar from a holster safety standpoint.
That all makes sense, and I figured DA and DA/SA was what you meant by "external hammer."

Just recently started carrying a Beretta 92X Centurion GR.

This after years carrying a 1911, then a brief period carrying a SCD-equipped Glock 17 (which I liked).

The SCD is a terrific innovation, but I accepted the fact that I prefer metal guns with hammers -- especially for AIWB carry.

P365x no safety or g17 with scd. Regardless of what I'm carrying I utilize a safe and deliberate aiwb reholstering technique (learned from Spencer keepers)

P320 with MS. It’s the only MS-equipped, optics-ready striker gun on the market with a decent MS that mimics 1911 placement.

I’m fine being on the short bus.
Well, you may be a man. You may be a leprechaun. Only one thing’s for sure… you’re in the wrong basement.

Glock 45 with SCD, either in a 17 length DSG Orion or on PHLster enigma/pro combo.

I am using the Beretta brand model 01 for AIWB carry. It is quite secure, tight in place and good retention. It has a great sweat guard and works well for me. The cant is very adjustable and stays set.
