    Red Dot Sight Storage Covers

Here are a couple options for Red Dot Sight storage / transport covers I bought recently. I put these on the pistols during trips to the range or when stored in the safe.

On the right is a Hugo Industries cover for a HS 507c. It is made of fairly rigid thermoplastic (I'm guessing it is 3D printed). Price is $9.99. This cover has a bump-out for the side battery tray. I am ok with this cover, but it is not very securely attached.

On the left is another option. This one is neoprene rubber. Price is $15.99 for two covers. The fit is decent, but this model lacks a bump out for the battery tray. It seems to fit more snugly as well as having a small tab at the front to assist in removal.

    RDS covers

A shout out to Hugo @ Hugo Industries - helped me get a nice custom fit for my Holosun 509T mounted on a CHPWS mount - very friendly, professional gentleman to deal with!

Original cover was too loose and would not secure on the optic - after some dialogue and measurements, Hugo custom built multiple covers with different dimensions and found the perfect fit was a cover 3mm shorter than the original along with a thinner rear 'leg' of the cover - apparently a stacking of tolerances between the production runs of the Holosuns and the cover.

Very inexpensive investment to protect the optic.

The range panda ones are legit. You can hit em with a hammer yet they are made of some sort of rubber plastic material that doesn’t scratch the optic.
