I won't be bidding on this one

    For your viewing pleasure:

Presented as a .22 LR Colt Diamondback. I don't think so...

disembodied soul is looking down at his own corpse wondering what happened.

Colt lookup says it could be either a 1964 or 1967 Police Positive Special or Detective Special.
Pictures shrewdly omit the breech face to show change from centerfire to rimfire.

A gun ruined and a barrel wasted.

I asked the seller a question to see if it's ignorance or scamville.

That gun is so much fail in all respects. Even the grips appear to have been jacked with. It would be worthless even as a parts gun IMHO.

Colt made 22 LR versions of most of their duty guns, like this one: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/903706815 Not many, but a few.

I'm guessing that someone decided to make one of those into a Diamondback "clone."

It's a shame. The barrel alone would have been worth several hundred dollars before they butchered it.

If it was priced as the Franken!Colt it is, I might grab it for a shooter as I cannot resist .22 LR handguns. But the owner seems to expect Diamondback money, not Franken!Colt money.

Does GB have any type of fraud/scam/counterfeit alert, enabling members to report items? (I think that I may have joined GB, at some time in the past, but have long since disremembered my log-in details.)
