I think the last one I changed a few years back was a roll pin.
One thing to note, not all holes line up when changing sights.

If you're going to be a bear….be a GRIZZLY!
So if the holes don’t line up, you just don’t use the pin?
I had a springer where a aftermarket F/O front sight hole did not line up with the hole in the slide.
It was fitted snug and backed it up with loctite.

Be aware that Dan Wesson dovetails may not be Novak-spec. There's quite a few threads on various 1911 forums from gunsmiths who were unpleasantly surprised and wound up having to weld in and then re-mill the dovetails to get them to a known spec. Check 1911addicts and 1911forum in the gunsmithing sections.
My Specialist has night sights by Ameri-Glo, model H3-21. I can’t find them online anywhere but they were made to some spec. The number on the sights is H3-21. Of course H3 is just the chemical symbol for Tritium with 3 being the total of 2 neutrons and 1 proton, hence “tri” or 3 components in the nucleus. I would think the 21 is a model number but can’t find it anywhere? I called Dan Wesson and they said the front dovetail is “Novak” but the rear is “Novak Lo Mount”. And they are currently out of these sights if I wanted a replacement from them.

You should probably read this thread, all of it. This is not the only thread about DW issues, it's just the most recent one I could find. Just because they say it should be a Novak cut, doesn't mean it actually is, or that it was done correctly...
Also, if you have not googled or otherwise searched for "dan wesson sight dovetail" or "dan wesson sight cut", there's quite a few vendors with cautions about which sights to use.

I just figured out the “21” in the H3 21 stamped on my Ameriglo sights is the year 2021. I feel kind of dumb now. Never had night sights but a great way for the manufacturer to know the age for warranty claims in future.
BTW: My sights on Specialist fit tight front and rear in the dovetails. No gaps. I’m impressed, but have seen examples that didn’t fit great.
Check Novak's web site. They have a chart which gives who uses a true Novak Sight and dovetail and who uses a "Novak Style" sight or dovetail. Under Sights 101 they list Dan Wesson and CZ as using" Unauthorized Imitations" or dovetail cuts.

That’s good to know. If I need a replacement I would match dimensions to what is on my pistol. My factory Ameriglo fits perfectly. My friend just got night sights installed on his Remington R1. He said those dovetails were also proprietary and required gunsmith fitting. The Smith did a great job
