Damn. Does it include the chain that was used to drag it?

That said, I’d hit it hard.

If I saw that in a local gun shop I think I'd buy it, and I'm not a Colt DA fan.

Some people pay a lot to get that look done with cerakote... I prefer for my gear to earn that look.

Agreed. It was a beautiful piece, just more than I want to pay.

This is the first time I have seen a Diamondback priced less than thousands of dollars, and I understand that the 2.5" version is not as common. Hopefully that finish does not reflect the condition of the internals.

If the crown looks like the front of the barrel...it might be a tad challenging.

Some velocity data from the 3" OP above, having cylinder gap 0.004 pass/0.005 hold:

    Rem-UMC 158 LRN "Police Service" (WW2-era) 772 fps, 19 Sd

WRA Super Match 148-grain wadcutter (1950s) 695 fps, 9 Sd

    Winchester X38SPD 158 LHP (1990) 862 fps, 14 Sd

    WCC86 110-grain +P+ JHP Q4070 1064 fps, 21 Sd

    Winchester 125-grain JHP +P 915 fps, 12 Sd

    RA66 130-grain Ball M41 787 fps, 8 Sd

    Saeco #348 146 DEWC 3.5 Bullseye 824 fps, 7 Sd
My late '70s 4" M10 gave velocity readings on par with my 2" M60 which puzzled me until I thought to check the BCG.
    .013 was the measurement.
This revolver is my wife's house gun so there is a concern. Ended up removing the 158 LHP rounds it was loaded with and put in Speer GD 135 grainers until I can maybe get it repaired someday.

I like 3-inch barrels and I wanted a sturdy, +P capable, six-shot .38 Special, so I had Sandy Garrett of NoVA Gun Works rebuild this old cop gun for me.

Is there an email address for Mr. Garrett? All I can find online is a phone number.
I have at least three revolvers that need professional attention and he is within driving distance for me.

I sent you a PM. Didn't want to post the email address on a public forum. Sandy's son Garrett, also very capable 'smith, handles email for the shop.
