Most obviously do you have a pic (s)? Is it Ruger, GP or SP, or S&W K or J frame? Box?
No I dont have a pic its a model 60. No box or anything besides the gun. suppisedly an over run from a nypd contract.Originally Posted by Polecat

GB i probably your best bet. One at local show couple months back was 650.00
So far as I know NYPD did not buy any 3" J frames. Lacking department markings or a S&W factory letter I believe you are being scammed.
They never had one. There was a run of DAO 3” 60’s in the 90’s made for a distributor. They had frosted finish ,bobbed hammers. Not Nypd.
Thats what this one is. Its marked as a NYPD gun on the sale tag. They want 1 k for it.

About double what a used Model 60 is worth. It is not an NYPD gun.
I didnt bother telling them. I just glanced at it and initally thought it was a k frame. It was only when I went back to look at the details online to reply to the questions here I realized it was a 60.

1K is pretty steep if it's an otherwise basic 3" Model 60. I gave $600 for my .357 60-10 a few years ago, but it was pretty clean, in the box, and I wanted it because "mini 686" ...
I recently saw a clean 60-4 (.38) locally with the asking price of $650.
