Anybody done business with "Dan Wesson Firearms Store" in San Deigo?

It's a trap; it's fake. Pick a gun, add it to your cart, go to checkout, and look at the available payment methods...and, before they went back and fixed their pricing, the prices for most of them were absurd; stupid. $1000 for a 6" 10mm Kodiak was the example that sticks in my mind. After a week they went back and fixed it; the prices are still a bit off, but less obvious than they were before. The English on the site seems to have been procedurally generated and not organically written by someone who actually speaks the language as a first or even second language, either.

There is a long thread on another site I've been following about the DWX. Not only is it not available for sale according to people who have contacted Dan Wesson the company has no idea when it will be available, or at least isn't providing any information on a release date.

I don't have any concrete details on this place, but there are a ton of red flags.

1) If you click on the "shop now" button, it takes you to another site that appears to be a site builder with a gun theme template. Looks like they didn't clean up that link.

2) When I first went to the site, it said my that I had one item in my cart for $1,849. When I tried to click on my cart to see what I had (not) bought, it was empty.

3) There is no street address in San Diego provided. There is a phone number - (916) 243-5262 , and googling that gets you to a bunch of sketchy websites selling dubious medicines, parrots, dauschaunds, Kimbers, and Glocks. BTW, area code 916 is in northern California. 619 was San Diego when I lived there.

Looks the same. Same sketchy checkout page. Whois record shows names registered about the same time, by same registrar. Both appear to be using the same hosting company.

I bet there more like this out in the world.

It is for sure Fake. CZ/ Dan wesson has not shipped any DWXs yet.
