Fully detail striped and cleaned. Removed shok-buff and replaced recoil spring with ISMI 16lb. Snugged up the ambi safety where each side joins, it'll do for the moment but will get replaced. Replaced grip bushings, screws and grips. Ready for a range test. Playing with this I've come to the realization that the newer grip safeties with the "bump" are a wonderful thing. It takes real effort to grip the old guns with a beavertail correctly.

I will spare the story on my Delta Elite and the gunsmith other than to say I started building my own after that......but I ended up with the millet dual crimp holes in the slide and no front sight available to fit them.

I would have to look up the brand but I purchased a front sight that required a dovetail cut lengthwise instead of across the slide. The sight was just the right size to cover the millet mods done to the slide.

I had access to a mill and did the work myself.
