RFI: Hawaii Knife Laws - Clinch Pick?

I will assume that all replies are prefaced with "IANAL"

I've read over the Hawaii knife laws a little, but the specific question I have is: would a Clinch Pick be considered a "dagger" or a "dirk"?

IMO, neither. I think the way it's interpreted here is dagger is double edge, and dirk is more of a shank. Both are for "stabbinng", whereas you can say the CP is for cutting apples, envelopes, etc. Craig Douglas is coming here to teach in a few months, and I assume he's bringing a CP with him

I would be REAL sure...Hawaii is not friendly to weapons (it is not how you define or explain it) according to friends who grew up there.

And it wont be a slap on the wrist.....
