Personally I'd like to see an optic-ready P30 line.
Personally, I'd like to see an LEM VP9.

With the release of the PDP, Walther proved the benefit of listening to true experts on shooting (Jedlinski, Bowers, etc.) when developing a new pistol, HK should take notes! Of course, they first have to actually decide to build a new gun...
Absolutely. This VP9XL is a no brainer from a product R&D perspective, similar to the Glock 34 or Walther 5". It offers a cool, new pistol model suitable for H&D, Competition, and Plinking, at minimum expense.
I'd also say that its probably a smarter move then a single stack / 1.5 stack. Theres relatively little competition in the 5"+ polymer 9x19 market, while there is ferocious competition in the single / 1.5 stack market.
A mini H&K would be entering the market against:
-Glock 43, 43X, G48
-Walther PPS M2
-Shield Hi Cap
-SIG P365
-Springfield Hellcat
-Ruger LC9/ Max 9
-Probably a few more I forgot
And then on top of that, the H&K Mini would be entering that market no doubt at the highest price point of the bunch.
I can see why they aren't dropping the R&D $ on one and pursuing safer projects.
