    BHP help

I've got a hi power I'm trying to sell. Been getting a few messages, one saying "It's a Belgian you need to ask more money" and another saying "that's a copy it's only worth $500!" (I clarified he didn't mean the FEG copy I also have up).

As far as I can tell the serial number matches the browning hi power serials (9mm, made in 1996) and the proof marks looks remarkably similar (but not exact) to what I could find on the list of Belgain proofs.

Any experts here who can set me straight?

The pictures are huge so you'll have to click the links. Sorry for the inconvenience

    EDIT:

Grabbed a shot of just the proofs

    Got any additional photos?

Just from what is posted now I'd guess FN manufacture. Israeli surplus.

I feel like my “Made in Belgium Assembled in Portugal” Hi-Power has that same marking. Mine is an MKIII, made around 1993. Maybe it’s a Portuguese proof mark? Just a guess…

The above link is the outfit whose name is on the slide. It is not the same importer of decades ago. My guess is that this company imported the pistol or the slide.

The Interarms mark is on the frame and not slide.

Ended up making a sale to a fella who knew his stuff. Confirmed it was a Belgian pistol for Israel (see proofs on barrel lug).
