At the time his book came out, I had a couple of 29s and I was hot to build one.

    Pinnacle rules!

Mark at Pinnacle said no problem to put a 3” barrel on the 327, so I’m going to do that rather than hack up the 929.

New N-frame AIWB setup with enough barrel length coverage to accommodate a number of different projects...

I guess I should finally read his book one of these days.
That makes me want to get out the Dan Wesson .22v pistol pack.

I know this project is more performance driven, but for pure aesthetics nothing looks better on an n frame than a 3.5” bbl. Plus, the fightn’ ist revolver ever was the 3.5” model 27.

    If I was going to have one re-barreled I would go 3.5 over 3, and I own a 3” N frame.

I think the 1873 might have something to say about that

I’m open to input. I was thinking this would mainly be for a 9mm gun for ease of reloading over ballistics.

At >3.5” I’d be very tempted to leave it as a 357...

    I have a model 66 in 4” and a 686”+ in 3” that I love.

Well, then obviously you need a 3.5" something or other.

So lead time on having custom work done might be a couple months...

Because I have more money than good sense, and I like tinkering and like getting into stuff for more complete education....

Can anyone tell me why I couldn’t buy this:

And put it on an N-frame?

I bought it anyway so that I could put in on my current 3” 686+ if it doesn’t work.

I love all the interesting experiments and tinkering you are up to. But I have no idea if any of this will work. Just enjoying your journey.
