It's a big old world out here and different people want/need different things from a firearm.

Having real, usable, useful utility for only a small group of the shooting world doesn't = "dumb".
If it did, all of us who like, discuss, own and shoot revolvers in 2021 would be "dumb" because we are a small subset.

I don't own one but I really like it.
Oh I’m dumb. But it’s fun working on dumb projects sometimes.

I still drive a manual transmission car for fun too.

Big thanks to @OlongJohnson for the spare Nightguard cylinder!

This way I can mess with my original and push it to the extreme of chamfering and still have a backup if I go too far...

It'll look a lot cooler whatever you do with it than it did taking up space in my gun project parts drawer.

The standard Hogue is the silver one.

The revolver supply one actually feels like delrin or polymer. It’s not metal. But the gripper nubs do a great job of grabbing my thumb. I don’t know if it’ll be faster than the standard, but I think I like it. Will do some timed drills and see what it shakes out at with a few reps.

    Okay, I like it.

Okay a couple reps with a camera in the way (so not my fastest).

    Reloading 38 special.

The cylinder release shape works well rolling off the gun shift. Seamless.

Got it back in the mail today, but they didn’t chamfer very much despite me asking.

I did my normal Dremel chamfer myself but a little disappointed in them.

I also thought the cut was off since my snap caps didn’t fit.

Turns out the cut is just really precise since my milled special copper snap caps fit.
