Philosophical question for you, what is your thought of extended cylinder releases on fighting revolvers?

The extended release makes it faster to reload, but I could see it being a liability if it were accidentally engaged.

Does anyone make one that’s halfway in between the gamer Hogue and the regular stock one?

Once you've looked the rounds into the chambers, you can start moving the gun as you close the cylinder; your head will always be faster, but closing up shop and moving the gun at the same time is a noticeable speed improvement. It's something I still work on in regular dry fire.
    Thank you.

I think the problems is 2 fold. Comp 2s and dirty reloads cause a round to stick every once in a while and really needs that extra half second to fully seat. The gun really needs to be vertical.

The 38 wadcutters out of the M-10 felt like a 22. The 9mm HST was a little snappy out of the steel SP101 but easily controllable.

I found some old chrono data. All from a S&W 442.
38 special 135 grain short barrel +P Gold Dot. Ave 807 fps.
    38 special Win 158 +P LSWCHP Ave 745 fps.
Fed 148 match wadcutters Ave 639 fps.
    S&B 148 wadcutters Ave 518 fps.
The same day Fed AE9FP 147 went 949 fps from a Glock 17.

I'd be interested to see data with 9mm 147 HST from a 2 inch barrel revolver.

How would one of these be to throw an Acro on and run in a JM?

I could make that happen with 147 gr Speer Lawman which should be close.

I also have 124 gr Federal training match which is supposedly loaded like the HST counterpart.

Now my brain rabbit hole is wondering about 380 ACP ballistics out of a snub and whether TK could caliber change a Smith 340 to 380ACP instead of 9mm....

I noticed Taurus makes a 380 revolver... wondering about buying their moon clips and seeing if I can shoot 380 out of my LCR9 to chrono....

    I am so curious...

    Here’s a 380 round in a 9mm moon clip in an LCR9...

With the proper moon clip I can’t imagine it’d be worse than shooting 9mm out of a rechambered 357...

I was about to have a old 6 shot 586 changed over to 7, but no.
Can the opposite be done? Could I take a 686 Plus and have it converted to a 6-shooter? Lack of 2.5" and 3" 6-shot 686 is disappointing to me.

    Following with interest.

Also I kinda wish I had not heard of these Korth things...

PS: I asked the 380 out of 9mm thing before:
