Personally for self defense I like the Gold Dot / HST bullet.
Right now my 9mms either have gold dots or hst but due to availability and that I prefer penetration over expansion by a wide margin I get xtps when I can find them.

I recently got a few hundred 125s but couldn't get them past 1225fps with my be-86. I was hoping for 1300.

Around here our "fighting revolvers" engage a lot of critters.
I switched to swc after The 140xtp blew a pretty good chunk out of a grouse.

    Do they still make that?

Dunno. I think so? It's still listed on the Nighthawk custom web page
    https://www.nighthawkcustom.com/sky-hawk-9mm

The trigger feel is different than a lot of traditional revolvers. It also doesn't use moon clips which is kind of cool.

But I'm not sure functionally it does much more than an LCR9 does except carry one additional round.

Okay enablers. Latest iteration with a Holosun 507k.

Which incidentally co-witnesses with the front sight using the integrated rears.

I figure I would do this over an ACRO since the 507k is drop tested and robust while still being slim enough to use with a compact (ish) revolver.

You can just see the round front sight peeking through.

Itís not a perfect co-witness, but thatís not bad.

How does shooting the dot on a revolver appear compared to the dot on a reciprocating slide?

I would think the 509T would be interesting on a revolver.
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

I never really paid close attention?

I put an SRO on a 929 when I was playing with revolver FAST and really didnít notice a difference between dots but wasnít paying that close attention. I just kind of used it in the same way.

Iíd guess caliber, barrel length and dot window would affect things as much as semi-auto or revolver but Iím just spitballing. Iíll pay more attention next time I go out.
