That gun is a sterling More Money Than Brains Detector.

For a $26k starting price, I would expect clear enough photos to read the inscription on the barrel.

If the description on that read "Cast resin prop from unknown B-movie," I wouldn't have questioned it at all.
I was into 10mm Auto before it sold out and went mainstream, but these days I'm here for the revolver and epidemiology information.

The factory letter explains a lot but raises more questions. This was a retirement gift for an outgoing chairman of the firm. The revolver was shipped in the white and parkerized after it was engraved. This was a very deliberate choice from the factory, which could have sent any of their products to that engraver. So why wouldn't they go all the way and give him a Python, or a 1911? Was the Peacekeeper his favorite model? Was it some kind of ironic choice that was tailored to his personality? An outgoing "F*** You" to someone who was not liked enough to send the very best?

That's no pig, that's a Colt Revolver. I'd rock it like a hurricane.

I'd go 500 bucks, 600 tops, but I'd rock it, crossdraw : ). Fill in that sick engraving with a yellow paint pen and TRY to fight off the chics.

GAS-O seems like an unseemly serial number to me.

I owned a Peace Keeper for a number of years, and while it might take home a ribbon from the stock show, it was still a pig.

The trigger made a stock Security Six feel smooth & light.

    Hilarious.
The Peacekeeper was reportedly one of those strike guns, Parkerized because union workers weren't coming in to the bluing shop.
How appropriate a retirement gift to one of the asset strippers.

Lt. Castillo carried one, so there's that.
