Impulse bid on another 28-2 (supposedly mid-60's serial #) last week and won for $640.

Now waiting on my FFL to actually be in the shop during business hours so USPS can deliver it, or to go by the PO and pick it up while he's out doing whatever he does while not at the shop.

Maybe not short fuse, but certainly enabling the unusual: Ruger Speed-Six ASP 44 Special Conversion

19-2, at a local pawnshop. Buddy called me up to come look at it. They’re asking $750 IIRC.

It’s not something I need - too nice, and I already have four 4” kframes. This one I’d have to stick in the back of the safe and forget about for a while.

It must have sat around for a while. It seems to have been fired very little. I detail stripped and oiled the trigger mechanism and cylinder, which didn't seem to move freely at first, but after some hoppes and oil, it spins fine.

Compared to its contemporary, the Model 66 that have in the safe, it is much less refined, but compared to the GP100 its positively trim.
