While it tempts me to jump into .41 mag I will resist, however not a bad deal in the current market, about 5 hours left and no bids. Seller does not have a long feedback record so there is that risk.

A good one to negotiate use of an escrow service.

I generally stay away from gun-drama but I am posting this here since many folks (me included) would check out the Sarah15 auctions on gunbroker. It seems there has been a pretty significant amount of fraud taking place with this particular seller. Basically he/they were not paying consignees the proceeds they were due from the sale of their collections. Several folks are owed multiple thoughts of dollars include one estate that claims they are owed $440K. It appears the local legal system is getting involved.

I checked my history and I purchased something from them in 2022.

    Question

Rats. I had the seller saved and checked it for the first time in a while a day or so ago, nothing there...

Edit: Holy Moley, please read that S&W thread!

I've purchased from Sarah15 in past with no issues (I know, not the same as consigning). They have interesting items often. I hate to hear this.

Indeed. I keep thinking “ People will *kill* you over a half-million dollar loss.”

You have to wonder what was really going on here.

Well, Bass Pro in Oklahoma City just put out my short fuse. They had a beautiful blued 4" Security Six with some holster wear on the muzzle but in really good shape for $499. With my employee discount, it would've been a good deal. I called Sunday saying I was wanting to purchase it and the guy said it was still available, andthey'd have to get a manager to call me back to get payment because he wasn't sure how to implement the employee discount (even though all you do is enter the employee number). I also emailed them that night likewise saying I wanted to purchase it and to please get back with me. (You have to call/message to purchase used guns on bass Pro/Cabelas, can't add to cart and check out.)

So Monday and today, I heard nothing. Finally, I called again and after finally getting through to someone, was told the gun was sold.

I'm a little miffed. They either sold it out from under me, or one of them there decided they wanted the good deal.

I don't treat customers like that and I go out of my way to help them, I don't appreciate it.
