Looks like @GJM wins the bet with @Doc_Glock. I picked up a P365x today.

Took it home, did a basic clean and field strip to check it out. All ok. Dang these small RSAs are stiff.

Brought it to the range, shot 89 rounds. Zero problems. Included 12 rounds of Federal HST 147 and 10 Speer Gold Dot 124+p (my carry ammo.) The rest was American Eagle 124 or BB 124 FMJ. I used B-8s and a USPSA A-zone I print up at home for targets. I loaded 12 rounds a couple of times to verify the mags, having my Uplula along made loading the 12th round drama free.

I have to say, this is amazingly soft shooting for a microcompact. The XL grip fits my size M hands perfectly, the slide seems to cycle pretty flat. I liked the flat trigger on the P365XL I had previously, and this one is the same. I ran a B-8 out to 10 yards and did a 90-2X with 10 rounds, in about 15-20 seconds, so not really in a hurry. Groups were low and right a bit, mostly because of my tendency to under grip my support hand. I really missed having an optic; I did a group at 25 yards and put 6/10 on paper, but it was not my best effort. The sights were fine but I don't tend to see them well these days.

Cleaned it at home, noticed some dings in the barrel hood from the shooting or I dunno perhaps the assembly process (pistol had a born on date of 10-26-21) but I don't worry too much about that kind of thing. It's meant to be shot. The mags are a nice change from Glocks; I forgot how easy they come apart; just like HK mags. I did my usual check for swarf or flashing on the followers, or gunk in the mag tube, or bent springs, or whatever; but they were pretty clean. Wiped them out and reassembled.

I'm very impressed. I have history with Sig; my wife had a P365 for a while and I owned a P365XL last year before I went back to a G48 because:reasons. Definitely going to get a 507k and put it on soon; I miss having my dot.

I cobbled together a makeshift AIWB holster from a old lefty JM CK IWB 15 degree cant P365XL shell I had laying around, a PTD loop and a spare wing. Carry is great, I'm amazed it's so comfortable and thin, even with the make-shift holster. The whole rig itself, with 13 rounds of Speer GD 124+p, weighs 28 oz. My G19 rig is 36 oz. The Sig is 2.2 oz per round, putting it at the top of my personal oz/round metric out of the box.

Appreciate it's not quite proven itself yet, and I'm still in the honeymoon phase, but if it continues to perform consistently it'll be a keeper.

Picked mine up today after Sig replaced the barrel and recoil spring, looked like it had been dropped on the barrel crown.
Almost a two week turn around but I wasn’t in a hurry. The delay allowed my JMCK and mag carrier to arrive ahead of the gun. Installed a 507K and shot roughly 100 rounds. No drama other than my cartridge sighting laser must have been off, I “zeroed” before I left the house only to have a nice group 8” right and 5” low once I was able to put some rounds through it. I’ll shoot it more next week. Can’t say I like it more, or less, than my 43X with a 507K. Time will tell.

First outing with the p365 today. Haven’t shot in over a year. While I can still get a good purchase on the standard grip with my M hands, I ordered the xl grip frame. It still conceals remarkably well with the larger frame so it’ll stay in this configuration for the obvious benefits. First time dealing with a sig also and have to say the ease at which you can change frames is pretty slick.

Fired 200rds. 100 Winchester 124gr NATO, 50 PMC Bronze 124gr, and 50 Federal HST 147gr. On my first two magazines I had two in total failures to go fully into battery with the 124 NATO. Both times the slide stopped with about a half inch to go but no problems after that. I’ll chalk it up to a break in period. I too also noticed dings on the barrel hood like the poster above while cleaning.

This is my 3rd attempt ever at a 25yd B8 and my best, an 88 with Fed 147 HST. First time was my last outing over a year ago with a 43x. It was abysmal, only landing 4 or 5 on the paper. It was the end of my session and I left humbled thinking of all the excellent scores in the 25yd freestyle revisited thread. My first attempt today I only landed 7/10 on the paper, laughed when I saw it and thought here we go again. I then re-focused and shot the above. The people who regularly score in the high 90s have my respect.

So far I’m enjoying this more than the 43x although the Glock had a certain familiarity that was nice. My only concern is some of the rusting issues I’ve seen posted by others with me living in south Louisiana and high humidity. Time will tell.

It's almost like physics is a thing, or something.

Congrats, Rich. I hope it keeps working out for you.

Thanks Chuck! Hope all are well at home there in Corpus. We are going great, enjoying the retired life here in sleepy Venice FL.

Yah, the RSA is stiff, I should remember from my wife's P365.

I'm pretty hopeful that this is "the one" as far as carry goes (I'll be sure not to drop it, of course ) since I've been through quite a few of the most recent skinny 9mms over the last 18 months. I've decided to try the 407K V2 on the P365x this go round. It has a 6 MOA dot and manual brightness, only. I have tended to set the 507c's in manual most of the time anyway; and I think a single larger dot for carry has pluses over the 32 MOA Circle 'O Death of the bigger Holosuns. And the dot plus circle is too busy, I've found. Anyway, will be looking for a Black Friday deal on one soon. We shall see. After getting the sight, I need to get a holster ordered with JM CK, and donate a kidney or two for a few more mags.

As to the gun, I've done some searching on this odd divot on the barrel hood, and it seems to have been added by Sig after the "barrel peening" shenanigans in early spring 2018. Apparently some did, and some did not, generate a mark there upon live fire, so according to what I read, Sig added this relief cut to the hood in all subsequent production. It does seem to shoot well, so I don't have any real concerns, now that I've figured out what it is.

I decided to order one of these after finding them for a good price at KY Gun Co. I’m going to give the agency Sig P320s the old college try and the P365 family of weapons are on the approved personally owned weapon list. I’m looking forward to trying something new after primarily being a Glock shooter for the last 7 years or so. I do wish we were allowed to use the manual safety variants but we can’t have everything, I guess. I won’t be selling all of my Glocks or anything but we’ll see how things go with this little gun when I get it.

Just received mine today and that’s my same reaction. I actually thought it would be thicker but it looks like they just shaved up at the tang. I do like the feel but haven’t shot it yet and unfortunate can’t get out for probably a week. I sure hope I experience the value when shooting it as others have.

So far so good since purchase of this P365x last fall. It's become my EDC, save for occasions to walk out to get the mail or wash the truck, for which I use my LCR.

Round count is up to 553, mostly American Eagle 124 or Blazer Brass 124 FMJ. Perhaps 10% of that a mix of carry Federal HST 147, Speer Gold Dot 124+p and 115. No real issues, less a few fail for the slide to close all the way with a few of the four new US-made range mags. That one issue hasn't surfaced since. All of the range mags now have several cycles through.

Only mod has been purchase of the Wilson Combat grip module and Tungsten weight kit. Overall it's a plus, the texture is very aggressive front and back, which seems to help.

I'm trying out one of the Mastermind Tactics Low Profile fabric mag pouches for a reload. With the additional mag that is 25 rounds to solve the problem.

With AIWB carry, fit in the JM Custom Kydex AIWB 2.5 WC holster is good, nice and tight. I'm running it with one DCC clip at the moment, and a Mastermind Tactics Appendix Carry Pillow on a Mastermind Tactics Specialist belt.

I've also been using it during Dry Practice to see how it works from concealment. One metric I use are the Gabe White performance standards. I have a fair bit of data on the times on these tests with my G34 USPSA rig, since it is the most often setup I dry practice with. Compared to that, and with the -0.25s concealment bonus, I am still not quite down to those numbers, being about 0.1-0.2s above my OWB times.

So far I'd say this purchase is working out pretty well. Enough so that this is the first platform I've ever gotten to where I am considering purchasing another P365 as a backup/training/carry gun.

I am ready to pickup another small carry 9. I’ve had a multitude of Glocks. They all worked and I never had a failure. But the 365 is tempting. I am contemplating buying a 365 somewhat base model and installing the XL style Wilson grip module. I am not looking for a optics ready model so I would prefer spending the extra money on gear.

Has anyone ran the Wilson 12rnd with a base 365? And If so how did you like it? I do not like the factory grip on the 365 at all.

Referring to a Wilson Combat "XL" (12 round) grip module, as opposed to a regular Sig OEM 12 round grip module?

If so, I like mine a lot. My review was posted here in the WC grip thread. Cliffs are the WC grip is 0.3 oz heavier (1.8 oz heavier with the Tungsten weight kit), has a built-in mag well (ish), has really really aggressive texture on the front and backstrap, and feels slightly "rounder" than OEM. The only mod I've made to it is to shorten the beavertail about 1mm with a Dremel. It stuck a bit far out for me.
