Gunblast (continuing without Jeff) has some data on the dimensions:

This is clearly aiming at P365, but it's optics-ready.
Unlike LCP II and Security 9, this is striker-fired.

Man that's a light trigger. Glad there is a thumb safety. Looks interesting, wish it was hammer fired though. It's a unique aspect to Ruger's designs that I wish they would continue, as opposed to going striker like everyone else.
Ruger's hammer-fired system is unfortunately fraught with controversy, entirely of their own doing. Even to this day, their manual for LCP II calls for carrying the gun with chamber empty. This stupid CYA clause provided fuel to those who claimed the design was usafe (notably the owner of Uncle Mike's Holsters). Instead of removing that clause from the manual, like Glock did in 2004, Ruger tied to tamp it down by publishing a FAQ on their website that explained the design features and reminded that the gun was found drop-safe in testing.
So what they did now was to borrow the fire control from LC9s instead of Security 9.
Looks like a nice package, the price of $499 is pretty good as well.
Good for Ruger. Not sure about “Game Changer”. Shame the safety isn’t ambi for us lefties. Looks well thought out, hope they sell a bunch.
An optic ready Ruger 365 the size of a Kahr? Count me as interested.
But: 3lb trigger?! Thumb safety?! Nope to both.
Between Ruger, Sig or Kahr I will pick the Ruger every time.
Couldn't agree more with all of this. 3.25# trigger on any non target-competition pistol is stupidly light, IMHO, to put such on what will undoubtedly be seen as a pocket carry gun is damn near negligently reckless. Hopefully the test sample just slipped through and the production models will have more reasonable triggers...
Because I sorta kinda want one, a lot. P365 size and optics ready - much want.
That trigger is stupid light. No thanks.
There is a reason I stick with my Gen 1 LCP for pocket carry. Very light triggers may have their place, but they are now showing up in too many places.
Here's a little more info with shooting video.
