I have been discussing a dedicated shell for the Enigma with Tony at JM over the past month. With his move to Texas behind him, he focused on a solution with the following design objectives — fixed retention, minimum volume, clean design with none of the blocking and attachments of a traditional holster, modest cost, and ENOUGH knuckle clearance that you don’t shred your middle finger knuckle on the edge of the Enigma carrier. This shell for the Shield Plus 3.1 and 4 inch models showed up yesterday, and I mounted it on an Enigma this morning. It came out perfectly, and this is a front and back view of it.
This shows the knuckle clearance, and my knuckle is a bit permanently swollen from a twenty year ago climbing injury.
Tomorrow morning, shells arrive for the 365 XL and 43X/48 MOS, which I will promptly mount to confirm fit and function. Believe shells for the M&P Compact and Glock 17/19 are on the way soon. These should work in a Unity Clutch and similar application. Tony believes these will be available on the JM website in the next week.
