    2021 Tikka Catalog. A 6.5 PRC!

    Finally!

I have been wondering when they were going to actually build T3s in 6.5 PRC and now they have. More than a few times I have considered rebarrelling my Tikka 695 .338 wm into a 6.5 PRC, but I figured I would be patient. Now I guess I better start putting some money aside and wait for them to come into stock some place. That and save $$ for a scope.

I need another rifle like I need another Minion!

Heck I have one at Brockmans getting un-FUBARED from a "gunsmith" who I asked to fit some bottom metal. I still have to pay for that... He is not exactly cheap, but I wanted it done right.

Link to the new 2021 catalog!

    some cool rimfire offerings too!

There’s a lot to like in that catalog. The UPR looks very nice, at 7.5-8lbs. I agree that 6.5PRC is a welcome caliber. I am also glad to see that .260 Rem remains standard in most of their offerings.

    It’s funny; .260 just won’t die!!

I love .260. Other than mag length issues in AR-10s, it does everything better than 6.5CM.

Thinking of re-chambering the Tikka in .260 as I have a sae butt-ton of .308 brass. Any experience with necking down .308 to .260? Specifically concerned with having to neck turn. Don’t want to buy another machine.

    Yes, and it’s not good.

EDIT: It depends on how good you want the brass to be. My .260 is my primary long range competition rifle. I have a butt-ton of Lapua brass for that reason. If you're not going to try to hit targets at 1k to 1mi, maybe you can do fine with resized home-brew brass.

Ha, I’m in NC, brother! On the E Coast, we don’t even have roads with 1K to a mile straight line of sight!
