    RFI: Spokane

Looks like I'll be in and out of Spokane a fair amount in the next couple of months. What should I do/avoid doing?

    Thanks,

    Okie John

Pronounce it to rhyme with 'cocaine.'

I would both do, and not do, that. A lot.

I avoid just about anything in WA. They are free to do as they choose, but doesn’t mean I have to support it by buying anything in the state.

ID is a very, very short drive..... I spend all of my time in Idaho when forced to be in the Spokane area.
You can get much more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.

I would say go to the White Elephant and buy guns, ammo, and reloading supplies but they closed down.
We could isolate Russia totally from the world and maybe they could apply for membership after 2000 years.

Dang. I'm sorry to hear that. They used to be customers of mine and seemed like pretty nice folks.

If you’re looking for outdoors stuff, Colville and Kootenai NF are a day trip north and east, respectively. Both have snow on the ground right now, though, so grab the snowshoes.

Other than that, we’ve got Chik-Fil-A now, so, uhh, got that going for us...

Nice little town with some history and lots of touristy things to do.

The last time I was in Spocaine it was 17° and they had 12" of snow on the ground. Walking around sucked. I honestly don't know why anyone would live there.

Man I loved that place. Back in the late 80's four of us would split gas and run up there from Moscow, ID on weekends for something to do.

    +100

Joking aside, its a tough time of year in this neck of the woods and still lots of indoor stuff closed down but Idaho is a relatively free country at the moment and not too far away.

Totem is a generous guy and I am sure giving you all the ins and outs of where to go and what to eat. If you are a skier, I think there are still some places open in the area.

Snow should be melting this week and the weather getting warmer so that should open up some other outdoor opportunities for hiking around if you enjoy that. Too bad it isn't golf season yet because there are some good courses for relatively cheap (although the recent windstorm has knocked down quite a few trees and cleanup is done yet).
