Realistically that's probably true. But at least on paper there's something.

I admit to some confirmation bias here, though, since I've never had a problem sending or cashing MOs. I'm sure one bad experience would have me re-evaluating digital alternatives. As is, my biggest problem with gunbroker transactions to date is buyer illiteracy. So far everyone's paid (and been paid) as agreed.

If you read my message, however, that wasn't really my problem with MOs, anyway. My post was addressing the angle of the money even reaching them to begin with.
Yeah, putting several hundred dollars (or a couple thousand dollars) in cash equivalents into what's essentially an uninsured envelope and hoping for the best is not ideal. I've never had one go missing (yet). But the possibility is always there.

The only way I use Zelle today (besides under duress) is to first send someone $1 and then get them to acknowledge that they received the dollar. Then send the rest. That fixes the issue with using the wrong email/phone id, but doesn't address the labyrinth of failure that can happen once Zelle starts talking to the Visa/MC APIs.

Had this one bookmarked for a couple days and decided to pass. Anybody wants to spend on the high side of meh can go nuts. I don't see the 4" -9s too often.

Just dreaming of owning a wheelgun like this, with a nice leather rig for it, that I can wear as I drive around a big block Challenger or Chevelle.
$755 with four days to go. I'm betting this'll go north of a grand.

Sometimes, I wonder if starting them off cheap is a better strategy,

I’ve been eyeing some of the old BP single shot rifles martini-Henrys and Trapdoors are of interest. While I’m not looking for anything that’s pristine it’d be cool be be a steward of the history for a while, plus I have some BP sitting around with nothing to burn it in.

As much as I dig original Martinis the lack of a safety makes them a range only gun for me. While this one has a safety and I could have had the barrel bored and lined for .45-70 rather than a cartridge that has to be hand formed from 28 gauge brass shotgun shells. But, one day....

So... I’d previously lost a couple auctions on 1301s, but won one on Saturday. And... I have a (currently) high bid on a K22 with honest wear, but there’s still plenty of time to lose that one. If I was smarter I would have just watch-listed it and bid as it closed...🙄

It's been forever since I've tried to win a GB auction. But I'm gonna try for this tomorrow morning, unless one of you is already bidding...

Almost entirely stuff I'm benchmarking for pricing something I'm going to sell.
