The trigger guard was fit so tight to the frame that I couldn't release the spring-loaded retaining pin to remove it. They made it take the right amount of force, which is still plenty, but possible without a specially made lever/prybar tool.
It came back grittier than it went. I wasn't planning to do anything to it but fire and dry fire it, but I couldn't let the gritty go. Took it apart and found what appeared to be red garnet compound here and there around the insides. Detail stripped it, and couldn't put it back together with all the burrs that were obvious now that I was looking at the parts. Slicked it up per the IBOK. It was immediately sweet, surprisingly so, and keeps getting better and better. Like Van Halen.
