    My M57 no-dash is factory nickel and doesn’t have that N. Could be a K frame thing?

    I was thinking that it might not always have been the case and there is an "N" stamped on the frame under the grip panel in pics.

    Nope, I'm not really into them.

    I do like blue steel, stainless or parkerized. I think I only own three nickeled revolvers.
