Thread: Digital Glock Device

    Digital Glock Device

There is a sidebar advertisement on Glocktalk for a phone app to turn your Glock off.

"Lightning fast lock and unlock" from phone or watch do not meet my standards for a fast draw.

Apparent default is to lock the gun on low battery.

Not to mention apparent possibilities for hacking or government mandated back door.

Does it count as a "smart gun" under the several laws on the subject?

I just clicked on the link and my antivirus software blocked the website. Beyond that, I agree with all of your concerns and have zero interest in this device. Even if the government back door is absent, defaulting to locking the gun on low battery reflects an engineering choice by someone who sees zero value in having a working gun in an emergency.

    Truly dumb.

Sounds like something Beto and the “party of tolerance and unification” developed. You know, common sense gun stuff.

I ordered two of them. Honestly and not kidding.

I have a couple of Magna-trigger enabled revolvers.

    A couple of Identilocks too.

I want to try these locks out. I understand they’re not for everyone.
I also carry with a manual safety.

I don’t have high hopes or expectations for it.
But there may be a use for this regarding my wife’s preferences and storage options regarding children.

I don’t know what I don’t know and I’m willing to find out.

Also FYI the company emailed me when they decreased the price and offered and refunded me the difference, so that makes me feel warm and fuzzy towards the company.

I think the Apple Watch proximity unlock looks attractive to me.

I always wonder how “pro-2A” a company can be when they promote shit like this, despite how negatively it can be leveraged both via policy and via potential cyber-manipulation.
