    RIP Chick Corea

One of the great jazz pianists. He'll be missed.

Sad to see this. I saw him with RTF, (Flora Purim, Al Di Meola days), a few times.

There's nothing civil about this war.

    Son Of a Bitch.
RTF, CEB, CAB (especially the latter) were in heavy rotation for my CD players in the 90s and 00s. Guess it's time to break them out again.

Just realized, a lot of the dudes (and dudets) from that period of my life are getting old. David Benot? Dave Grusin? Larry Rosen? Big swath of my Jazz collection have GRP stamped on them.

Why first thought seeing Corea in the title was “I guess his active self protection didn’t work”

    Wrong guy.

I saw them in the same era. Very sad. For those with Pandora (music not jewelry) there is a newly created RTF station.

Chick Corea played on the Stan Getz album “Sweet Rain”. Fantastic album. Also, I loved his Origin band circa 2000. They had a great album called Change with a fantastic tenor saxophonist named Bob Shepard.

    RIP Chick Corea

I loved Sweet Rain - it also had Ron Carter and Grady Tate. Such a great album, and perfect for so many moods and reasons.

    Rest in Peace, Mr Corea.
