Awesome, thanks man. I've got an extra Modlite I'm planning on using... and now I guess a Hot Button I need to sell.

My original set up was the TLR-1HL with the pressure pad and it was fantastic... Except the cheap ass switch kept breaking at the plug (broke two of them, one form just inserting it and one from recoil, before I got the hint).

So I went with the KISS method...

Can I ask what mount you used? I have a spare x300 and my LTT1301 is waiting for me to pick up from my FFL.....

Sure... It's the Magpul M-lok Cantilever Rail/Light Mount.

Not a 1301 but a Magpul handguard and would work the same... If I was going to use this professionally or as a primary I would have a SF on there but this just sits behind a cabinet in the living room and I didn’t want to spent the extra $2-300 over the Streamlight.

The Streamlight 870 mount combined with an X300 works great on the 1301.
I'm 5'6" do you think it would work for me?

That looks like the perfect solution.

I’m using the same Streamlight 870 mount with a 1” Surefire and a Vtac mount. It maintains the KISS factor but gives a bit more length adjustability.

That's the other way I was looking at going. Forgot about the Vtac mount. Much more economical solution.Thanks.

Because I am too impatient to wait for my Surefire tailcap to come, I went ahead and mounted a Modlite on the left side of the gun. This would work pretty well on its own, but for some reason I’ve got it in my head that I want to be able to activate the light from both sides of the gun so I’ll be moving it to the right side soon with a DS tailcap. Definitely a chance that I end up back here before it’s all said and done.

Need to work a bit on cable management, but this seems like a solid overall setup.
