Have you ever found a set of grips that are perfect?

I love it when I buy a set of grips that are perfect. I can tell right away.

    Berettas get wilson thin grips
Revolvers get Ahrends, square butt k frames are ok with vzs but not round butt, at least not with a lot of magnums.

1911s get full checkered wood grips that are thinnish but still support the plunger tube. Those are typically not easy to find. I had been eyeballing some and finally ordered a set of herretts. Thinner than most wood grips and full checkering. Perfect.

Perfect timing - I think I need a set of those. I’m loving the VCDs I recently put on my two stainless guns, but then there’s the blued one with polished flats. It really needs something more traditional, but with more grip that the laquer-y, slippery stocks it came with. These look like exactly that.

I find I like grips with some grab to them:
For my Shield, the Talon stick on grips with the gritty texture make a world of difference.

On my 1911, the Pachmayr G-10's are pretty nice. I use them on my Beretta 92's, but they do need the backstrap filed flush.

And on my Hipower, these VZ's a generous member karma'd my way:

Nills with Romlas texturing for my P239. They’re not as “bitey” as G10, but they don’t need to be. The contour is perfect with enough of a palm swell for stability and the texture is enough to get the job done. And... they look cool.

I’d like get Nills for my other Sigs (including my other P239s), but man—they’re like $200 a pop now. If anyone knows of anything that replicates the contour/feel of Nills for Sigs, let me know.

Are we talking grip comfort or visual appeal? Comfortable grips are overrated.
